Alumni Newsletter and Blog
The MMS community of alumni and former students, faculty/staff, and families is full of fascinating stories. During the spring of 2021, we began publishing a new alumni newsletter and blog. Fresh editions come out six times a year. We want to make sure that this newsletter reaches as many people as possible. If you’re a former MMS student or parent, please update your contact information (or your child’s contact information) through this form. You are also welcome to submit an alumni update—open to former faculty/staff and families too. We’ll publish them in a future newsletter.
Stay in Touch
As a school, we want to do better at maintaining relationships with our alumni and rediscovering our history. We’ve started with a few efforts, including a newsletter (see above) and digitizing materials from our archives, including old videos of school musicals and events. We always welcome outreach from alumni and former students and families.

Our Community
For more than 50 years, Metropolitan Montessori School has provided ‘An Education For Life’ to countless graduates around the country and the world. We love hearing from graduates and welcoming them back into the building, though the pandemic has prevented visits recently. International families, returning to New York on trips, often stop by to say hello and reconnect with old friends and teachers. It’s always moving to see how strongly they feel about the school and how vividly they remember their experiences. For many families, MMS becomes a second home as well as a community. For years, we have hosted a reunion each winter, welcoming former students, families, and teachers to spend time together again on West 85th Street.
